Priya Raghubir Wins 2025 Fellows Award

Las Vegas, NV – The Society for Consumer Psychology (SCP) proudly announces that Dr. Priya Raghubir, Dean Abraham L. Gitlow Professor of Business at New York University, has been honored with the prestigious SCP Fellow Award at the 2025 Annual Conference in Las Vegas, NV. Presented on March 1, 2025, this award represents the highest distinction within SCP, recognizing Dr. Raghubir’s extraordinary contributions to consumer psychology through her groundbreaking research and dedicated service to the field.

The SCP Fellow Award is reserved for scholars who earned their Ph.D. over 15 years ago and have made outstanding and unusual contributions to consumer psychology. Dr. Raghubir’s pioneering research on price promotions, payment methods, and sensory processing has significantly advanced the field. Her work has garnered over 10,000 citations on Google Scholar, reflecting its widespread influence on both academia and practice.

Dr. Raghubir’s scholarly impact is evident in her extensive publication record, with 56 journal articles, including 20 in the top-tier Marketing “A” journals. Her research excellence has been further recognized with the JR Davidson Award, highlighting her contributions to consumer behavior literature.

Beyond her scholarship, Dr. Raghubir has demonstrated exemplary service to the consumer psychology community. She served as Co-Editor of the Journal of Consumer Psychology (JCP) from 2018 to 2020 and has held multiple Associate Editor roles at JCP (three times), Management Science, Journal of Retailing (JR), and International Journal of Research in Marketing (IJRM). Her commitment to the field has also been recognized with two Outstanding Reviewer Awards from JCP and Journal of Consumer Research (JCR).

Dr. Raghubir’s leadership extends to key academic initiatives, including serving as a Marketing Science Institute (MSI) Academic Fellow (2020–2023) and co-chairing the 2023 Association for Consumer Research (ACR) Conference as well as the 2010 ACR Doctoral Consortium.

The award was presented during the 2025 SCP Annual Conference, themed “Amplifying our Impact to Enhance Consumers’ Lives,” chaired by Claudia Townsend (University of Miami), Alice Wang (University of Iowa), and Danny Zane (Lehigh University). The event brought together leading scholars and practitioners from around the world to discuss and advance the field of consumer psychology.
